Day 2 of the Spring Blitz was also a success! We had two Brown Boobies and a Sooty Shearwater (they have been in short supply so far this spring) plus a cooperative Bridled Tern. Black-capped Petrels stole the show again with a great feeding group over the chum - they were even calling as they fed! Shorebirds were out there again as well but we had a surprise Spotted Sandpiper fly by while we were on a drift - not a species we usually see offshore. Our trip report is linked below and I have included a few photos I took out there of our Black-cappeds. Thanks to everyone who joined us and thank you to Steve Backus for helping us lead the trip again today! -Kate Sutherland
