FOUR Bermuda Petrels (Cahows) out there today!! It was truly epic to see so many of these gorgeous gadflies around the boat while we were out there is morning! Tallying almost 150 Black-capped Petrels as well made for an incredible day! None of the individuals we saw today were the same as our bird on Tuesday so that makes FIVE for the spring so far. Perhaps we will see more this spring, who knows? But we will be out there looking...and we'll keep you posted! Other species of note that were seen well were Manx Shearwater, Leach's Storm-Petrel, and Band-rumped Storm-Petrel plus we had our first Bridled Terns of the season on the way back to the inlet.

Our trip report can be found here: 22 May 2025

Thanks to everyone who joined us out there and thanks to Steve Backus for helping Brian, myself, and Daniel Irons lead the trip today. Photos here are all © Kate Sutherland
